Anne's House of Dreams by Lucy Maud Montgomery (Fiction)

Anne's House of Dreams takes place just after Anne's fiance, Gilbert, finishes his school, and is now a doctor. Anne and Gilbert get married, and move around 60 miles away from Avonlea, and Green Gables, to Four Winds where her house of dreams is. Anne and Gilbert meet a lot of people there, including, Leslie Moore, Mr. Moore, Miss Cornelia Bryant, Captain Jim, Owen Ford, Marshall Elliot, and many more people. Anne quickly becomes friends with Captain Jim, and she loves his storytelling. Miss Cornelia Bryant also becomes very close to Anne. Cornelia Bryant loves to sew clothes for babies, and she speaks out a lot about how men are not very smart, or compassionate. Anne learns of the story of the tragic life lead by Leslie Moore, and she soon leads Leslie to become friends with her, and she turns her light from dull and dark to wonderful. Leslie's story also leads to Mr. Moore's story about how he went out sailing and it changed his life. Owen Ford is a man who comes to Four Winds to see the house that his grandparents built and where his mother was raised. While Owen Ford is in Four Winds he comes to like Captain Jim. He loves his stories and his life book. Owen also falls in love with his landlady, Leslie Moore, and he tells Anne, because he does not know weather he should tell her, or keep it secret. Anne has a child in her house of dreams, and she also has a horrible tragedy in her house of dreams. Read this book to find out what the tragedy is, and to see what decision Owen Ford makes.
I would rate Anne's House of Dreams four out of five stars. This was a very good book, and the only bad things about it was that the content was a little hard to understand at times, and some parts were boring, and other times I felt the book was too predictable. Anne's House of Dreams was my fourth favorite book out of five so far in the Anne of Green Gables series, but I still liked this book a lot. My favorite part of the book was Anne's first Christmas in Four Winds, and when Owen Ford comes to Four Winds. I liked Anne's first Christmas in Four Winds, because Anne got to show Mrs. Lynde, Marilla, Dora, Davy, and other friends and family from Avonlea to her friends in Four Winds. This was also the first time anyone in Avonlea got to see Anne's house. I liked when Owen Ford comes to Four Winds, because he helps Captain Jim write his story about his life, and get  that known to everybody, and also because he falls in love with Leslie Moore, and they both love each other at first, without the other one realizing they love each other.
