David saw it. He witnessed the most powerful epic Steelheart bleed. It was when David was 8 years old. Since Calamity, normal people began to have super powers. Those who had super powers were called Epics. Ten years later David has been waiting for a chance to avenge his father when he one day he witnesses something incredible. He sees the Reckoners kill an epic. Reckoners are a group that kill and hunt down epics until there is none existing. He joins the Reckoners hoping he could kill Steelheart. But the Reckoners just laughed. Kill Steelheart? The most powerful epic in North America? The man to have said that has no weakness. But David has. He persuades the Reckoners to listen to his plan to kill the unbeatable. Finally he was able to persuade the Reckoners. As they kill many strong epics that hold powers such as creating illusions, see the future and many more, they discover surprising facts about their team mates and their past. They also find out something that gives them hope to kill him. Steelheart's secret weakness! Comedy, adventure Brandon Sandersons book Steelheart his full of thrills and I promise you that once your start reading you won’t stop until the end of the book!
I thought Steelheart was one of the best books I’ve ever read. It somewhat reminded me of the book Scythe by Neal Shushterman ( which I recommend as well). Like Scythe, there is a group of powerful people, in this case the Epics and there are people who try to beat them. I love books which contain lots of thrills as well as mystery and comedy. If you also like this type of genre, this book is perfect for you. For example, no one knew what the strongest epic Steelheart, weakness was. It was probably the biggest mystery in the book. It turns out his weakness was... Oops! I can’t spoil this for you! Anyways, I also liked the characters’ attributes. They’re all different which is why I like it. Who would like a book if all of them were nerds?! Funny, serious, dumb there’s many unique attributes for each character. What did I not like in the book? Absolutely nothing!! Just kidding. There were some parts in the book where it was a little vague and I wished the author described it a little more. Like Nightweilder’s past or Steelheart’s past but overall I loved this book. The moment I started reading I couldn’t stop! It turns out that this is a trilogy! Yessss! The next book is called “Firefight” and the last is “Calamity”. Although I haven’t read the two books yet, I am currently begging my parents to buy it for me! I really think anyone would like this book and you should definitely read it!
