Disney After Dawn by Ridley Pearson (Fantasy, Action, Mystery)

The book Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dawn is an action, mystery and fantasy book. I would recommend this book to 6-8 graders. This book revolves around five kids who try to stop the evil force known as the Overtakers. The Overtakers goal is to take Over Disney Word and the rest of the world. Every night when the kids go to sleep, they get teleported to Disney world as a hologram. However, the Overtakers are trying to kidnap the kids when they fall asleep. Due to this the kids can’t go to sleep for more than twenty minutes or they’ll be kidnapped. The Overtakers are a group of evil characters from the Disney franchise. Such as pirates, withes, killer clowns etc. The Overtakers  are a very deadly group of individuals who will stop at nothing to get what they want, WORLD DOMINATION! As the kids try to stop the Overtakers they will find new perilous danger.

One thing I liked about this book was the characters, I liked how they were each unique in their own way. I think someone who enjoys fantasy and action and mystery would enjoy this series. My favorite character was Finn because he was daring and would do anything to save his friends from danger. My least favorite character was Maleficent. Maleficent is one of the Overtakers. I don’t like her because she wants to dominate the world. In my opinion I think that the first book in the series was much better than this one, I say that because this book didn’t have as much action in my opinion. The first book I didn’t want to stop reading but this one I wanted to hurry up and finish it. In my opinion any one below a sixth grader should not read this book because I think it would be too hard to comprehend.

She has always kept these mental illnesses from her friends because she was scared of what they would think. Her mind is constantly filled with dark thoughts and worries that she can’t let go off or turn off. Daily life is a struggle because she constantly questions her every action, idea, and statement. It also doesn't help that her lifelong friends will become toxic at the first sign of a wrong outfit, wrong lunch, or wrong crush.
