The Boy on the Porch by Sharon Creech (Fiction)

This book "The boy on the porch" is about a little boy whose parents leave him with these nice and wonderful people called Marta and John. Marta and John notice there is a note in his shirt. The note says his name is Jacob, but Jacob is not like all of the regular boys.  Jacob can’t talk and can only communicate by tapping things. After John buys Jacob some paints to draw with, they both notice that Jacob is painting places that look mostly similar to places located in their town. So Marta and John set off on an adventure to find these places. The thing is, that what he is painting in kind of wonky because all of the trees are purple and the grass in blue and it makes it way harder find them but they are still willing to find where Jacob is from. While they were on their adventure, Jacob found his old shoe. Could this of been near where Jacob lived?  Did Marta and John finally find Jacob’s parents? Read the book "The Boy on the Porch" by Sharon Creech, to find out what will happen to Jacob. I think that anyone who likes family, love and compassion will like this and I would really recommend you read this book.

I really liked reading this book. It was very interesting to me and left me really wanting to read the whole book in one day. I also really like how the chapters were really short and the words were not too small, but also not too big. The book brought a lot of cliff hangers that you would never suspect and they are scattered all throughout the book. I think is a great book for grades 6-8.
